Enclave vs XT6

Shoppers searching for the best three-row SUV certainly aren’t short on options—nearly every major consumer brand has at least one model that fits the bill, and this can lead to some serious analysis paralysis when the time comes to actually buy one.

The decision becomes even more intimidating when considering luxury SUVs like the Buick Enclave. At our Buick dealership in Muscatine, IA, we’ve found that doing a simple comparison is one of the best ways to figure out which model is right for you. In that spirit, we’ve decided to stack it up against another popular model, the Cadillac XT6, to see which one comes out on top.

Enclave vs. XT6 Performance

Generally, Buick vehicles are engineered with the utmost comfort in mind, and the Enclave is no different. Instead of prioritizing breakneck acceleration, it’s designed to provide a smooth and quiet ride on the highway. Still, it’s no slouch—the standard 2.5-liter Turbo engine makes 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, giving it plenty of power to keep up with traffic and then some.

Cadillac has a reputation for being a little zippier than the average car, but you’ll need to pay to play. The XT6’s standard 2.0-liter Turbo engine creates only 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, making it far less powerful than the Enclave’s standard engine. Shoppers with a greater need for speed will likely be drawn to the beefier 3.6-liter V6 motor, but this one still only produces 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Not bad, but still not as robust as the Enclave.

Enclave vs. XT6 Dimensions

Some three-row SUVs can feel a bit cramped, especially in the rear seats, which are typically only suitable for younger passengers. Let’s take a look at their interior dimensions side by side to see which one offers the most space for shoppers near Davenport:

  2026 Buick Enclave 2025 Cadillac XT6
Passenger capacity
1st row legroom 44.29 in 41.20 in
2nd row legroom 41.46 in 39.10 in
3rd row legroom 32.13 in 29.50 in
Cargo space behind 3rd row 22.90 cu ft 12.60 cu ft
Cargo space behind 2nd row 57.10 cu ft 43.10 cu ft
Cargo space behind 1st row 97.50 cu ft 78.70 cu ft

They may both technically be in the same class of SUV, but the Enclave provides far more interior space for both seating and storage, making it more versatile for families who need room to stretch out.

Enclave vs. XT6 Interior and Tech

Luxury SUVs promise a higher standard of comfort and infotainment amenities, and both of these high-end SUVs deliver.

The Enclave’s interior is remarkably well-appointed. All trims come with an Ultrawide 30-inch LCD display screen with Google built-in, along with wireless Apple CarPlay® and phone projection, SiriusXM®, wireless phone charging, multiple front and rear USB ports, a Bose® premium audio system, and in-vehicle Wi-Fi. Other standard comfort features include QuietTuning™ and Active Noise Cancellation, remote start, heated front seats and steering wheel, and tri-zone automatic climate control.

The XT6 has plenty of interior features to enjoy as well, but some of the tech feels a bit dated, as the model hasn’t seen a major update in years. Infotainment is handled by a simple yet effective 8.0-inch center touch screen display, which includes essentials like Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and in-vehicle Wi-Fi. It also gets some standard perks like heated front seats, a Bose® audio system, and the Ultra View sunroof, but they aren’t quite enough to bring it up to the Enclave’s level.

Enclave vs. XT6 Safety Features

Like most modern SUVs, both come with an impressive array of safety and driver assistance features—in fact, because both brands are under the General Motors umbrella, they come with many of the exact same standard features, including:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Reverse Automatic Braking
  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Following Distance Indicator
  • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
  • Rear Park Assist
  • Safety Alert Seat
  • Buckle to Drive
  • Teen Driver

However, the Enclave comes with a few extra standard features like HD Surround Vision, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Rear Pedestrian Alert, and Traffic Sign Recognition, all of which are either optional or unavailable in the XT6.

Both can also be optioned with Super Cruise hands-free driving, but while it’s available across all Enclave trims, only the two most expensive XT6 trims are compatible with the technology.

Enclave vs. XT6 Price

Now that we’ve gone over all of the important performance specs, dimensions, and features, let’s take a look at what you can expect to spend on each model.

2026 Buick Enclave trims and pricing:

  • Preferred: $46,200
  • Sport Touring: $49,700

2025 Cadillac XT6 trims and pricing:

While they top out around the same price point, the Enclave is multiple grand less expensive for the entry-level trims, and it provides more standard features, giving you far better bang for your buck than the XT6.
